Watermelons are displayed at a supermarket in Seoul on April 19. Watermelon sales at Emart jumped 82.8 percent in the first 16 days of the month from a year earlier, while Lotte Mart reported a 40.5 percent increase over the same period. Sales rose as unseasonably warm weather boosted demand.
